Introduction

Hey there! I'm Shannon and I am currently a junior at the University of Florida. I was born in Montreal, Canada but only lived there for 2 1/2 years. I grew up in Tampa, Florida but my parents recently moved to Jacksonville Beach, Florida almost 2 years ago. Along with my mom and dad, Anne and Bill, I have two brothers. Johnny is almost 30 and Ryan is almost 27. They were all born in the states- I just happened to be born in Canada as my dad worked there for a few years. I also have a dog, Metsy who is almost 13. She's named after the New York Mets. I am currently studying telecommunications with a concentration in business. After graduation, I would love to move to NYC or LA and work in TV production. My end goal is to hopefully write scripts for a TV comedy one day. This past summer I studied abroad for 6 weeks in London. My family came over for a trip once school was done and in those 7 weeks I traveled to France, Belgium, Austria, the Netherlands, and Ireland. When I was in London, I took a script writing class for fun and now I'm constantly watching TV and imagining what the script looks like- and how I would incorporate certain aspects into my own script. It was one of the coolest experiences and I'm so thankful for it.

The picture above is my family and me crossing Abbey Road in London. I chose this picture because I thought it embodied what I spoke about- my family, my travels, and my goals. Not saying I want to be Beatles-level famous, but I definitely want to be successful.
